The Land Remote Sensing (LRS) Program is holding a “Science Fair” on April 12-13, 2005, in the USGS auditorium in Reston, Virginia. The purpose of the conference is to showcase the Remote Sensing research activities sponsored by the Land Remote Sensing Program. The day of April 12 will feature opening remarks by Director Groat to be followed by presentations highlighting particular research applications. In the evening, a poster session will be held illustrating Remote Sensing research activities. April 13 will be a day for working groups to address the direction and focus of the Land Remote Sensing Program and to facilitate a mechanism for communication and coordination among researchers. The full agenda can be found at Agenda v91.pdf.
