Land Features:
Space Needle and Experience Music Project

One building was inspired by flying saucers and the future, the other by the electric guitar and Jimi Hendrix. The Space Needle was built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Its distinct shadow points toward the interactive music museum inspired by Jimi Hendrix and designed by Frank Gehry: Experience Music Project, and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. Both structures are part of the Seattle Center campus—cultural, educational, sports, and entertainment center.

High Resolution Orthoimagery, .30-meter (roughly 1-foot) spatial resolution, August, 2005. High Resolution Orthoimagery looks like a photograph but any distortions caused by the tilt of the camera or topography of the land have been removed, so orthoimages are geospatially accurate and can be used as maps.
